Described Twice? A Finite Audit of a Possible Gravity–Measurement Seam

Abstract

Could quantum measurement and weak-field gravitational sourcing describe one record-making process? We test this hypothesis using finite quantum instruments and explicitly declared event models. On 50,401 histories, commit and billing counts agree under a one-bill-per-commit convention. Later audits establish an exact jump–tape–commit correspondence but do not select a billing law. Additive history currents form ℤ[i]²²⁴; their weights remain free. The absolute pair unit is nondefinable from the retained algebra and observables and requires a dimensionless normalization input whose value is unselected. Two source rules, quantum-until-commit Q and records-only R, agree after commitment and differ before it. On a declared two-qubit extension, R remains separable, whereas Q is entangled precisely when the invariant cross phase Ξ is nontrivial. A common local tomography instrument tests this distinction, with an exact threshold for independent local dephasing. Two admissible control-to-phase maps nevertheless give opposite decisions at the same control and noise point. The record-service ceiling does not bound source entanglement growth on the audited product extension. The primitive system-only action cannot reproduce both the record channel and record transport; a local environment and a transfer sector are jointly minimal within the declared enlargement class. Subsequent conditional extensions still leave repeated-use dynamics, history weights, scheduling and physical time unselected. The result is a finite consistency audit and conditional discriminator, with explicit remaining assumptions, rather than a derivation of a gravity–measurement identity.
